Lester and Raewynne Borrows have very deep roots in the Wellsford/Rodney region.

From a dairying family, Lester grew up in the industry spending his fair share of time in the dairy and the paddock. An apprenticeship at Wellsford Engineering came up and Lester went from milking in a dairy to fitting them.

Greens Farm Services

Darren and Raewyn Green love a challenge; theirs was to move North from the Waikato with the family, lock stock and barrel and set up a new business servicing the Whangarei and Dargaville Regions.

The business is keeping him busy, as the word is spreading about Greens Farm Services.

What has got people excited is Darren’s background.

A Dairy Manager for a number of years, he knows one end of a cow from the other.

Darren swapped dairy cows for dairy machines, as a fitter in Paeroa. He gained useful skills with a wide range of equipment until he took up a technical role with Milfos International. There he had the opportunity to work with high end dairy technology and automation, here and overseas.

Over the last couple of years he has proved his skills to Northland farmers as the technical support for the Milfos northern dealer network.

With an enviable work ethic, Darren will fit, machine test and service dairy equipment efficiently and cost effectively, supply consumables and equipment, even sort out water issues.
