The first chemical-free natural swimming pool to pass council inspection in Northland is nearing completion in Kerikeri, under construction by an innovative Auckland-based company that has achieved major progress in the construction of swimming pools, ornamental ponds and many commercial ponding applications including effluent collection for farms.
At the helm of Sandco is Hamish Forbes, who has 15 years’ experience in the pool industry, and has recently expanded his business to specialise in the supply and installation of Firestone EPDM Geomembrane.

The natural chemical free pool uses aquatic plants for filtration.

Pondco will provide construction quality control, and health and safety requirements on all its installations. Seam testing is mandatory, and is to ASTM D4437 standards. A detailed dam report, 20-year warranty and liner care guide is issued on the completion of each job.
